Conference announcement

The workshop is made possible by the generous support of the Wilhelm und Else Heraeus Foundation.

conference dates

26 Jul 2016 (arrival before dinner 6pm)
29 Jul 2016 (departure afternoon, ca 4pm)

conference venue

Physikzentrum, Hauptstraße 5, 53604 Bad Honnef, Germany

The understanding of light absorption and the excitation energy and electron transfer in natural/artificial photosynthesis is fundamental for the building of efficient light harvesting devices. The meetings brings together experimental physicists with theoreticians modelling molecular complexes. Methods discussed include

  • linear/nonlinear spectroscopy, time-resolved observations of excitation flow
  • atomistic models of excitons, including coupling to vibrational states
  • quantum coherence and dephasing dynamics in photosynthetic systems
  • charge transfer from excited molecules to semiconductor surfaces

preliminary program available here, the full book of abstracts, including poster abstracts, will be distributed in Bad Honnef
